Heart of David Ministries is a ministry of evangelism and encouragement. This ministry was birthed in the heart of Ted DiBiase when he came to realize that God had called him to the ministry. Ted identifies with the life of David in the Bible. Like David, Ted fell into sin and had to be humbled by God before recognizing the depth to which he had fallen. And just like David it was at this point that he repented and turned his heart back to God. In the Bible God says that David is a man after His own heart. It is Ted's desire to have just such a heart. He realizes that it is the condition of the heart, more than any thing else that counts most to God. Thus the name for his ministry became, Heart of David Ministries.

Heart of David Ministries reaches out to all the lost in the world, but Ted believes his greatest sphere of influence, and the platform that God has given him, is to reach out particularly to the youth and men of our nation and the world. He wants to challenge them with the absolute truth of God's word and to help them to understand that no matter how much wealth and recognition they might acquire the only thing that will bring them true peace, happiness, and joy, is a relationship with Jesus Christ. And one of the greatest examples he can give them is his own life. For it wasn't until he turned his heart back to God that he found the peace and joy that passes all understanding.

In his heart Ted believes God has said to him, "I have raised you up for a time such as this." Having been one of the top stars in professional wrestling over the last decade, Ted believes that now, when three of the top five shows on cable television are pro wrestling, and the quality and content of most of the wrestling being viewed today is disgusting, he has been called to be a voice in our nation and the world, speaking the truth of the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.

Ted believes the youth of our nation are in for the fight of their lives. They are searching for truth and answers everywhere. He doesn't want to see them disqualified from all that God has for them. He wants to help them avoid being poisoned by the value system of today's culture and not be influenced by the barrage of filth and garbage being thrown at them by today's society. (Movies, TV, etc.) And for those who wear the name of Jesus, he wants to encourage them not to be lulled to sleep in their Christian walk.

Ted wants to challenge men to be all they can truly be and not just some self-glorified "macho man." He wants to challenge them to be real men, godly men. A godly man is a man who will be a servant in his home and community. He is a man who will discover his unique destiny and enter today's cultural warfare and make an impact for God's glory. He is a man who will be there for his wife and children, assuming the role of spiritual leader of his family as called on by God to do so, and not bailing out when the going gets tough. Ted wants men to know that a real man is a man who will strive to be a leader by setting a godly example and not merely someone who just follows the crowd.
